Ingredients: water, aloe vera gel, comfrey ext., vit. E, lavender oil, ylang ylang oil, crocu sativus, azadircta indica, curcuma aromatic, base Q.S.

Benefits: body wash with the refreshing fragrance of lavender and extracts of ylang ylang flower, Khadi lavender and ylang ylang body wash helps in relaxing, tightens muscles, lessen aches, reducing inflammation, purify and heal the skin.

Usage: apply to wet skin all over the body. Rub into a lather & rinse. Use daily if desired.

Price: Rs. 130 for 210ml

Packaging: It comes in a cylindrical bottle made of plastic. The bottle is transparent and has a flip- open cap which is black in color. The ingredients list, usage and all the important things are mentioned on the bottle itself.

Consistency and Fragrance: It is a gel body wash which is not so thick but not so runny either. It is light purple/lavender in color and comes out easily when you tilt the bottle without even squeezing it.

I have never used any other lavender or ylang ylang product. So, I am assuming this is what they smell like. The fragrance is sort of relaxing and soothing. Somehow, it reminds of aftershave, not so strong though. Nevertheless, it is still a nice fragrance.
I bought this product online on an offer of 200 for 2. I was looking for a good body wash when I came across this one and read hundreds of amazing reviews on this. After reading so many good things about it my expectations literally reached the sky. I was expecting it to be a miraculous product, but it turned out to be just decent.

I have already used up the first bottle and this is the second bottle. I take some product on wet loofah and start exfoliating my body. I always have to go back to get more product to get the desired amount of foam sufficient enough to cover the entire body. Neither does it lather as much as other body washes nor is the foam as soft as others which means it is low in detergent content (SLS), which is a big plus for me. It washes away easily without leaving behind any slippery feeling. Also, it moisturizes really well and I don’t feel the need to use any moisturizer separately in summers. In winters though, you will definitely need to follow up with a body lotion.

Overall, it is a “value for money” product. I did not find it effective in reducing bodyache or tightening the skin but it is a good everyday body wash.

Parachute Advansed Summer Refresh Body Lotion Spray

Summers are almost here and all your body butters and those creamy body lotions won’t work the same. They will be too hydrating (read heavy) in this weather. I have been using a newly launched body lotion which is PERFECT for the summer season. Read on to know more about it. I have been using it daily for almost 2 weeks now and I am in love with it.

Price: I think till now they have just launched one 100ml bottle which is priced at Rs. 99. This is a launch offer and the price will soon rise to Rs.120.

Claims: New Summer Refresh Body Lotion Spray, with cool mint extracts and coconut milk that instantly refreshes and cools down your skin.

1. instant freshness

2. non sticky & light

3. soft & smooth skin

4. double sunscreens (UVA & UVB)

5. Quick Absorbing

6. 100% natural moisturiers

I am fine with all the points except for 4 and 6. The ingredient list which is full of chemicals definitely contradicts the 6th claim. As far as sun protection is concerned, they should mention about the spf factor as well.

Packaging: Parachute Advansed Summer Refresh Body Lotion Spray comes in a cylindrical light green and white bottle without any box, along with a pump. The packaging is pretty and attractive. The pump is covered with a small transparent cap. The pump makes the usage really easy. Especially when you are applying a body lotion in the bathroom after you have just had a bath, the pump dispenser helps a lot. The first time I used it, I had to press the pump around 8-10 times to make the product come out. But that's something they have mentioned in the bottle as well. It's just a one-time thing and the pump has been working well since then. Also, this bottle is perfect for traveling with no fear of spilling.

Fragrance: Talking about the fragrance-it has a citrus-y+ cucumber-ish smell, if you understand what I mean. The fragrance is very refreshing, mild and pleasant and won’t bother even the most sensitive noses. It is little citrus-y in the beginning and then settles down to a mild warm sweet smell. It stays on for a while and then totally disappears.

Consistency: The consistency of this body lotion is very thin and it gets quickly absorbed into the skin. It spreads very easily and hydrates the skin well. You will feel the need to re-apply this after few hours especially if you are in AC-environment. The light consistency makes it apt for summers. However, if you are someone with dry to very dry skin then this won’t work for you.

Below are the lotion swatches so that you can have an idea about its consistency.

Overall I am quite liking Parachute Advansed Summer Refresh Body Lotion Spray and it will be my go to lotion this summer as the light consistency and the refreshing smell apart from the affordable price make it a perfect body lotion.

Fiama Di Wills shower Gel MILD DEW

I lurve long hot water baths in winters. I can spend hours and hours in my bathroom. I just need a great smelling bodywash, soothing music and of course, lots of hot water. Don't you all agree that in winters hot water bath is the only thing that can rejuvenate you after a hectic day at work (hot oil massages come a close second for me).

Well today I am going to review a great body wash for winters-Fiama Di Wills shower Gel MILD DEW. I am about to finish up the bottle and now is the right time to talk about it.

Price: Rs.125 for 200ml

My Take on the Product:

It comes in an orange colored transparent bottle with a silver colored flip-open cap. Since the bottle is transparent you can easily see how much product is left. The body wash is transparent with slight orange tinge and has runny consistency.

The bottle says that it contains moisturising beads for skin conditioning along with peach and avocado extracts. The first time I sniffed it, it reminded me of peaches. It has a very mild sweet fragrance which I couldn’t smell once I was out of the bathroom. But people around me noticed the fragrance when I crossed them. So, I think it does stay for some time.

This body wash doesn’t lather much and due to this you might end up using more than the required product. But I think this shouldn’t be a problem since the product is aimed at providing moisture. Personally in winters I switch to these type of bodywashes which don’t lather much as I find the foaming ones quite drying.

It does justice to what it claims and my skin feels smooth and hydrated after using this. I don’t feel the need to apply any body lotion after bathing with this. Also, there are lots of body washes in the market which are aimed at providing moisture to our skin but the problem with them is that they leave behind a slippery feeling, which I find quite annoying. Thankfully, with this body wash there is no such issue and it gets washed away easily.

Final Verdict: Over all I am quite happy with this one and will surely try the other variants from this range.
